Truth.
Courage.
Inspiration.
Compassion.
Sharing.
Connecting.
Stories.
Open-mindedness.
Opportunity.
Community.
Light.
Love.
All these words make us better people.
And all these words are the “why” I do this twice-weekly online column.
If you like these words, too, my friends, then please help me spread the word about this column: Hometownstories.org.
As many friends/readers already know, you could initially join Hometown Stories as a fully paid subscriber for the very modest sum of $5 a month or $50 annually. Most readers readily and eagerly paid that amount - and many paid as a Founding Member at $75 or more.
However, after much contemplation for some time now, I’ve decided to reduce the annual subscription option to only $30 - at least through the upcoming Holiday Season. This is only about 8 cents a day and within the reach of virtually every reader.
Producing this column twice weekly is indeed highly thoughtful and time-consuming work, as one might imagine. I strive very hard to provide uplifting and thought-provoking writing, as best I possibly can, every time.
I am proud to relate that my column writing has previously won a first place award for column writers in all of Virginia. The column may or may not be “that” good, but I do strive very hard to write the truth well, almost always in storytelling form, usually with at least a dash or two of humor, and always with dedicated diligence to detail.
