If you don’t recognize the name, Taylor Swift, then one might reasonably assume you have been living beneath a rock over the past few months.
I can at least somewhat relate. I had never listened to a Taylor Swift song during my entire life … until about a week ago.
But with all the constant hype about her going on in the news recently, I just had to find out more.
So I did.
I’ll get to the song I listened to in a moment.
First, to back up a bit.
I am a big sports fan. Like most of my fellow American male counterparts, I like to watch NFL (American) football.
Way, way before Taylor Swift ever began dating superstar/athlete Travis Kelce of the Kansas City Chiefs, I was a Travis Kelce fan.
I should interject here that whether I decide to “like” or “pull for” a sports star or celebrity has very little to do with their athletic prowess or fame. I pull for “good people” - people who in some meaningful way “give back” to their communities and/or promote justice in the world. If someone doesn’t do that, it matters very little to me how big a star they are.
Enter Taylor Swift.
