Back when I taught school, it was an annual Thanksgiving activity. During the last week of November, just before we all headed home for Thanksgiving break, I asked my students to put pencil to paper about what they were most thankful for in their lives. Their answers rang deep. Indeed, I generally found few things under the sun to be more open and true than the hearts and minds of young, innocent children.
