I began this column during the first week of April last year. I am pleased and proud to convey that one year later we now have several hundred paid subscribers to Hometown Stories. I am grateful for your joining me on this journey, each and all of you. Together we are bettering Bristol – and hopefully you’re enjoying some unique local stories (found absolutely nowhere else) in the process.
Remember, as a full subscriber you have access to ALL archived stories … now over 100 in total! And growing.
The suggested subscription contribution is $50 annually (or $5 if monthly), though some give way more and some give less. I am grateful for all of you - for your supporting our work in Bristol; helping those in need at various times throughout the year.
Please keep in mind that if you renew automatically on the site - a portion goes directly to Substack and Stripe. But if you mail in a check to me directly at the address given below in the last paragraph, we get 100% of your donation; to help others in Bristol. However, I am grateful for your support either way. 😊
Summer camps for kids are coming up soon. Food and supplies will be needed. And my “pet vouchers” are ongoing all year long - where economically disadvantaged Bristol pet owners can get their pet spayed or neutered for free – this mission prevents a very great deal of needless animal suffering.
Please mail any contribution to: Hometown Stories, P.O. Box 861, Bristol VA 24203. Please include your email on the check, so I can keep you on as a subscriber. But whether you are able to support us monetarily in our worthy local causes or not, I promise to keep you on as a subscriber - as long as I have your email. I have never turned anyone down (to my knowledge) for their not being able to support us monetarily. 😊 Thank you!
